AC Shadows Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a unexpected crossover event that defies conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the shadows." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.
The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Items and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the adventure will obtain an unique katana in addition to numerous objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:
